1. Case Presentation

  • A healthy 9-year-old boy presents with a 5-day history of increasing right neck swelling and pain unresponsive to oral antibiotics
  • He is febrile with a very tender erythematous right neck fullness. 
  • US shows a complex mass in close proximity to the right thyroid.
