Case Summaries

CASE 1. Patient with Rare Brain Tumor

The first case was a case of a patient with a rare brain tumor, complicated by a thrombotic episode, with a focus on the appropriateness of anticoagulant therapy and the challenges of managing therapy in remote locations. Also discussed was the need for a more comprehensive and detailed approach to treatment, emphasizing the importance of understanding the patient’s needs and pain points, and effective communication and collaboration.

CASE 2. Complex Case of Pediatric Thrombosis

The second case discussed was a complex case of pediatric thrombosis, which included a case of a 17-year-old girl with severe autoimmune hemolytic anemia, central retinal venocclusion, and sinus thrombosis, and the management of a 5-year-old boy with a brain tumor and thrombosis.
