Hepatic Hemangiomas of Infancy

These common vascular tumors of infancy, though benign, can cause significant morbidity and even mortality. We will discuss and review common presentations, classification system, diagnostic evaluation, treatment options, and complications.

A case will be presented to allow the audience to participate. We will have a panel discussion with invited outside experts.

  • To increase awareness of and advocate for pediatric patients with vascular anomalies
  • To establish proper diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies
  • To create an international forum for debate, discussion, and dialog on approaches for treating pediatric patients with pediatric anomalies
