Case Overview:
- 4-year-old female patient with very unusual cloacal anatomy was referred in 1989
- Divided loop colostomy had been done at birth and remained
- There was urinary incontinence as well
Follow Up:
At age 5 years
- 1 year after reconstructive surgery, the patient was continent of urine and stool
At age 15 years
- I personally saw the patient to remove multiple large bladder stones by cystostomy
- No stone recurrence since then.
At age 28 years
- Patient had two sons, both by cesarean section and both prematurely
- Her general health was excellent
