1. Case Presentation

  • A 9-mo-old girl with Trisomy 21 has worsening nonbilious emesis over 5 days, superimposed on chronic vomiting and failure to thrive, diagnosed as GERD. 
  • She is dehydrated. Abdomen is benign.
  • Labs: severe hypochloremic, hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis.
